Akron tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth as senior shortstop Chelsea Wildey (Oviedo, Fla.) doubled to left field, was sacrificed to second and came home on a an RBI single down the left field line by sophomore third baseman Alyssa Nicholas (Cortland, Ohio). All tied up after seven innings, the teams went an extra inning to decide a winner.
